The Prophecy of War
War is glorious. War is mighty. Since the dawn of man, War has been the brutal imperative that has separated him from the plight of lesser beings. It is War that makes us unique. It is War that flexes the muscle of grand achievement and strengthens our resolve for a bright and bold tomorrow. We need War. Our species strives for conflict, not by fault or folly, but by the biological need to separate the weak from the strong. It has been said that ‘History is written by the winners’; this is true but reveals only half of the rewards offered, for it is the winners who also write the future! The future becomes theirs and theirs alone to mold and shape as they wish. Borders are redrawn, pagan idols are usurped by the God(s) of their choosing and the unbiased resources of the land become the blood flow of a new civilization. This process is as true and unshakable as the simplest of mathematical equations. War will always be with us. To rid ourselves of it would be akin to curing a heartbeat. |
